The Green River overlook is one of the most scenic and spectacular spots in Canyonlands National Park. The summer storms can bring amazing shows of light, texture and sound. As the sun begins to set, the storm clouds begin to build up around the area, sometimes blocking the light of the sun just right to bring out the gorgeous shimmer of golden light reflecting of the canyon walls, much like a jewel stone glistens in the light.
